Terms & Conditions

  1. Before the beginning of the service, we provide a free meet and greet before all of our services to discuss your requirements and answer any questions. Trails and Treats require a 50% non refundable deposit to secure any sitting dates at the time of the free consultation.

  2. We will need a key to access your property to visit or collect your pets. This can be left in a safe place or given to us at the free consultation.

  3. A minimum of 24 notice will be required to cancel any dog walks, house visits, pet taxi appointments otherwise the full amount will be collected for that service. At least 14 days notice required to cancel any pet house sitting dates otherwise a charge may incur. Discount may apply for longer home stays or amount of pets in household.

  4. DBS Checked. Fully insured by Pet Business Insurance (including Public Liability.)

  5. Cash payments and bank transfers are accepted on a weekly or monthly basis.

  6. Weekends and bank holidays may incur additional fees which will be discussed at the time of booking.

  7. We will notify you by text with an approx pick up time for walks and let you know when your dog is back.

  8. Two methods of booking walks;

    Daily / Weekly bookings – repeat bookings where your dog is automatically booked onto the same walk(s) each weekday and your dog’s space is guaranteed each week.

    Ad-Hoc Bookings – When you do not require a walk regularly or on the same day of the week, but choose to book on an ad-hoc basis.

  9. If you wish to keep your slot open during the (summer) school holidays, we suggest keeping at least 1-2 walks per week just so we and your dog can keep our bond and continue a routine. Otherwise we ask that you pay a 50% retainer fee of the weekly cost to keep your slot secure.

  10. In an emergency (pet injury / illness) we will contact you immediately and discuss how to proceed. If we can’t get a hold of you or an emergency contact, we will take your pet to the nearest veterinary surgery preferably the one you’re registered to and seek advice of a veterinary surgeon. The client agrees to pay any vet bills on their return.

  11. All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations and microchipped. Owner should also ensure that the collar contains a dog tag with their up to date contact details on.

  12. We will not let any dogs off their leads unless the owners’ consent has been given.

  13. We reserve the right to reduce the duration of a walk in extreme weather conditions (heavy rain, snow, thunder, lightning, high temperatures) where our and the animal’s welfare might be at risk. However the length of walk will be carried out as an home visit to entertain your dog in the comfort and safety of their own home / garden. We will notify you beforehand if this is occurring to get your opinion on the matter.

  14. Owners will need to inform us if your dog has been neutered or spayed. We cannot provide any walks for dogs that are in season but we will provide a home visit to let them out for garden breaks during this period of time.

  15. Any photos taken of your pet will not be used for marketing purposes (website or social media use) without first gaining your consent. All such media remains the property of Trails and Treats Agency.

  16. Trails and Treats Agency reserve the right to update and change terms and conditions if and when necessary.
